We are offering this extremely fine Chinese lacquer tea caddy. This gorgeous tea caddy has sophisticated decoration with gilding which is typical, however this example has the finest quality vignettes with polychrome lacquer decoration and dragon carved feet. This example also has the possibly original pewter tea caddies. Based on the decoration it is possible this is an 18th century example instead of the more common 19th century ones.

Condition: Some age splitting and losses to the lacquer surface. Missing part of one of the dragon feet.
