A very fine antique pair of French Empire bronze gilt gold ormolu figural candleabra. Absolutely first quality casting bronze ( see the details on each face with correct crisp clear outline of the eyes , nose lips etc ) with its original rich gold overlay patina ( now naturally tarnished with it's age of 200 years or more ) . Good weight to each candleabrum as it should being made from bronze with the male and female figures delicately standing on a gold sphere with natural live body poses ( not stiff very realistically rendered) and their garments blowing in the wind flowing. Note the superior quality and workmanship even on the back typical of the finest Napoleonic French Empire antiques of the period which were made in limited quantities for the very affluent individuals.
