Exquisite vintage fine porcelain handled bowl with strainer and underplate hand-painted in delicate pastel shades with gold accents on handles and rim of underplate. Bowl has a floral motif and underplate is in a grape motif. This piece can be used as a berry bowl, (strainer used to collect water from washed berries), but was originally used to keep butter cold, (ice cubes put under the strainer). Artist signed "Esther Gentil" (1918-2011). This piece was commissioned for a specific person. Excellent condition. Dimensions: underplate, 6.5"Dia x 1"H; bowl, 5.5"L x 5"W x 2"H.
