Fabulous mid-century depiction of the classic in historic, "Innocence" by Nicolas Lancret, a French Rococo painter (1690-1743)

Setting: A pastoral scene with man, woman and child in a garden

The print is in a decorative, possibly Art Deco or Rococo style frame, the print is on wood, that is one piece as a frame. It is inset in the center in the shape of a quatre foil. it depicts a a family that includes a man, woman and child, it appears that the woman is holding a string to what may be a kite that is not in view, lovely tones of green and blue provide the backdrop for colors of blush and blue in the clothing. The frame is ornate in gilt gold done in Florentine style, aged and distressed, with an emerald green paint along the sides.

The original painting is housed at the Musee du Louvre in Paris.
