Description
Rare early 19th-century canary yellow lusterware jug with silver resist trim, featuring transfer prints of "Hope" and "Charity." These symbolic bat prints were popular c.1810, often unmarked as seen here. The vibrant ground contrasts beautifully with the delicate black transfer scenes. Displays surface wear and minor losses typical of age but remains a striking and collectible example of early English pottery. "Faith, Hope & Charity" themes were popular in the early 19th century art and ceramics
