These pair of 2 arm sconces have been painted in an antiqued style with of white paint over real brass 2 arm wall sconces. They can be used for candles or even what's known as French wiring, whereas the wiring is on the outside of the sconce and the brass cup is drilled at the bottom to accommodate the wiring. These sconces are valuable because they are heavy brass LVI style French sconces. I found them a few years back in a Los Angeles antique shop known as The Collection.
