Antique Unger Brothers Art Nouveau cut crystal powder/dresser/vanity jar with repousse sterling silver (925) lid. Highly sculpted three dimensional rare kissing girls design. Crisp detail to the silver. This lovely dresser jar has a beautiful Art Nouveau lid depicting two little girls embracing, with one girl kissing the other on the cheek. The lid is marked in very small print along the rim "Sterling 925 Fine" and two Unger Bros monograms, one on each side of the sterling mark. (See photos.) The inside of the lid has a yellow tint that looks like a gold wash. The jar itself is made of heavy cut crystal.
Unger Bros. or Unger Brothers (1872-1910) was a jewelry company in Newark, New Jersey, best known for their sterling silver Art Nouveau designs.
