"Digging For Bait" Aquatint by Thomas Mclean, a dry humorous shot at the tony middle-class's mishapps in nature. Surprised to encounter a nest of hornets as they dig by treestump. Humorous and sweet. The original edition is hand-colored in the early 1800s, in England. This image is numbered No. 4 to the upper right edge of the border. Framed under glass in original frame circa 1900. The size is 12.5" by 10.75" tall. The image is 9.5" by 11.5"
