Magnificent large Spanish Baroque Style fire screen, carved walnut on casters. Rose colored needlepoint with heraldic crest and motto "Pro Aris et Focis," Latin for "For Home and Hearth" or more literally "For Altar and Hearth." Provenance: old Convent of the Visitation, Saint Louis. Glass cover over the needlepoint panel.
