A classic brass candle holder by Virginia Metalcrafters for their Colonial Williamsburg collection. It is fully marked on the bottom (CW-16-36).

A handsome antique, probably of French origin, has been copied to make this fine brass candle holder. The reproduction faithfully matches the graceful lines of the original, which may be seen in the Governor's Palace, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Virginia Metalcrafters Company was last located in Waynesboro, Virginia from 1925 until the company's demise in 2006. The company was founded in 1890 and created reproduction hardware for historic sites including Colonial Williamsburg, Mystic Seaport, and Old Salem.

The Candle Holder is in very good condition with minor scratches and plate loss due to age and normal use as seen in the photos.

The Candle Holder measures 8 3/4" Tall x 4 5/8" Wide. It weighs 30.90 oz or 875 grams.
