This is a very strange but lovely piece. It is a lamp but it is also a flower vase. Usually such combinations are horrid. This one seems to work okay. Combining gold chinoiserie and a white ceramic background. Perhaps it was a television lamp from back in the day when special lamps were placed on top of the television in hopes of saving the eyes of the family watching it.
