Mr. Neill dedicated his painting on marine subjects, particularly the fishing schooners and sailing vessels that plied the waters of the New England coast. His inspiration came from spending most of his life overlooking Quincy & Cape Cod Bays. He was featured in several marine art exhibitions, his paintings hang in several galleries throughout the country his work appears in books on marine art. He was an elected member of the American Society of Marine Artists and the International Society of Marine Painters.
