Marcel Andre Bouraine (1886-1948), Unique Terra Cotta Head, dated 1930. Signed on the base with Bouraine Biot 1930. Bouraine was a very active studio in the Art Deco period and produced a large amount of bronzes, terra cottas, and glass artworks. The classical female face in frontal view, poised on the block, Likely an architectural element. The fired terra cotta exhibits a coloration from sun and heat of outdoor use. The interior is blocked and buttressed. The measurements are 20 1/4"tall, 101/4" wide, and 7" deep
