Hand-Carved Folk Art Frontiersman Wall Hanging, dated 1976

Description

This unique folk art piece features a hand-carved relief of a frontiersman or hunter, rendered in detail with a rifle and traditional attire, set into a natural piece of bark-edged wood. The back is inscribed "To: Mark & Bebe. With great affection & Thanks for your support. Pop" and "Murphy Dome. Fairbanks, Alaska. 1976. REMMONS". This piece embodies a rustic, Alaskan aesthetic and serves as both a decorative and historical item.

Condition

Very Good, with minor wear consistent with age. There is a slight crack in the wood near the bottom, and some general surface dirt.
