Paul Joyce (b.1940) began his career in film after studying at the London School of Film Technique, quickly attracting the attention of major Hollywood studios for his documentary work. By the 1970s, he had established an international reputation as a photographer, exhibiting widely across Europe and the US. His portraits and documentary images are held in numerous public collections, including the Royal Collection, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Portrait Gallery and the Tate. Joyce later returned to film and television, directing award‑nominated arts documentaries and working with figures such as Stanley Kubrick, Robert Altman and David Hockney. Over the last three decades, he has also developed a parallel career as a painter, with exhibitions in London, the United States, Tokyo and Winchester.

Condition Report:

On close inspection under raking light a couple of very minor handling creases can be seen to the left side. Appears to be in otherwise good order and presents very well overall.
