Jiujiang circa 1920 by Tu Qing Yun An early 20th century Chinese export silver pepper pot

Republic period. of tapering hexagonal form, with a pull off lid the neck engraved with a meander scroll, the body with chased alternating panels of foliage and characters 吉祥如意 (Jixiang Ruyi | good fortune as one wishes), marked underneath 涂慶芸 (TU QING YUN). Together with a menu holder, Shanghai circa 1910, formed as a fan with flowering prunus branches populated by birds, marked to the easel with artisan mark and retails mark CW for Cum Wo. (2)
