A pair of glazed earthenware Christmas tree-themed table lighter and ashtray sets. Each assembly is composed of five separate pieces: a conical topper housing a removable metal lighter mechanism and four graduated leaf-shaped trays that stack to form the tiered body of the tree. The ceramic components are finished in a high-gloss vibrant green glaze, with one set featuring textured white glaze applications on the leaf tips and topper to simulate snow. The metal lighter inserts are finished in different tones, with one in a silver-tone and the other in a gold-tone. The underside of one green tray features two hand-incised characters, a serif capital E above a capital S (image 4). The other trays are unmarked, though some retain small circular tan adhesive felt pads on the footed base (image 4). Dimensions: each 7 in tall.
