20th Century Japanese Two Wood Panel Paintings of Birds, Butterflies and Bamboo at Sunset and Sunrise Over Gold gilt lacquer
Wood panel A: Sunrise Scene with dancing Butterflies, an elegant Landscape. This lovely painting depicts four roses in full bloom on the rosebrush vine at sunrise, framed by two bamboo trees in the distance, with a wonderful reflective golden landscape. Hand-painted butterflies, bamboo trees, foliage, and roses with stunning gold gilt background that changes throughout the day with sunlight and at night time.
Wood panel B: Sunset Scene with two birds in nature resting on a hibiscus plant flower brush vine above the stunning landscape. This beautiful painting depicts two birds under bamboo tree branches, fourteen blooming hibiscus flowers at sunset, and a wonderful reflective golden and copper landscape. Hand-painted birds with stunning gold gilt background that changes throughout the day with sunlight and at night time.
Both of the wood panel paintings are in the style of Kano School of painting Circa 1925.
Though simple in appearance, the individual panels are composed of wood and covered with intricately patterned layers of gold gilt by hand to the wood base, making an inviting, reflective landscape in which skilled master painters complete the painting on this gold surface.
