I belong to a meet up group that gets together and paint. This is a painting I did one such meet up. The model was a swimmer so I call this painting The Swimmer. We painted in a number of locations, art gallery basements, and Church auditoriums, artist's apartments and the Artists' Guild in town. Each session is about three hours and this is what I did one afternoon. Hope you like her enough to bring her home to your place. The painting is painted on a lightweight canvas board and measures 16x12. Overall, the Framed work measures 18.5 inches tall by 14.5 inches wide. The depth of the frame is 1.5 inches. The frame was made with Larson-Juhl molding.

Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children's books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon's Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists' Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students' League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
