We are selling this gorgeous stunning small scale Luminist Hudson River School painting. This painting is executed in oil on card and features a sunset scene in vivid oranges reds and pinks with two figures in the wooded foreground looking out at a waterfall in the distance. The painting is probably mid to late 19th century and appears to be unsigned. It may have been a study for a larger painting as it is executed on paper card stock. Old label for Tilden and Thurber Co on the frame which may not be original.

Condition: There is a professional restoration to the paper under the rounded corner insert where part of the paper was lost. Some general surface wear.
