A 1971 serigraph print by the American artist Nicholas Krushenick (1929-1999). Titled "The Trial of the Catonsville 9," this abstract work has a bright red background punctuated with a jagged white and purple design at the bottom flanked by yellow "L" shapes. Unframed, the print is initialed and dated verso.

Born in New York City, Nicholas Krushenick was an American abstract painter whose artistic style spanned Pop Art, Op Art, Minimalism and Color Field. After serving in World War II, he studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Art. He was a founder, along with his brother John Krushenick, of the Brata Gallery, an artist's collective that included artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Al Held. His works have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, as well as others.
