Description
Bring a retro, yet practical touch to any entry or dressing area with this elegant, carved "Perroquet" coat stand. The useful hat rack was crafted in France, circa 1920 in the style of German-Austrian cabinet maker, Michael Thonet (1796-1871). The hall tree features a swivel top with two rows of six hooks, so it could be used as a dual hat and coat rack; It is further dressed with a top decorative finial. The carved stem stands on four double scrolled legs further decorated with a ring to hold umbrellas upright; the stem is further dressed with three belt hooks. The coat rack is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich light bleached patinated finish.
