Zig zag patterned cocobolo, blackwood and betel nut lidded box created by Jon Sauer of San Francisco, California. Box measures 7" in height by 3" in diameter. In excellent vintage condition. Signed. Sauer's work can be found in permanent collections such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Philadelphia Wood Turning Center, Yale University Art Gallery, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He is a multi award winning lathe artist and featured in many publications as well.
