Made in the early- mid 19th century for export in Europe and America, this vegetable tureen and cover are painted in the 'Canton Blue' style and feature pagodas, bridges and ships in a landscape. The dish is painted on the exterior sides with sprays of flowers, and the interior with a river scene. Apparently unmarked.
