We are selling this cool Japanese blue and white rectangular low Jardiniere. This unusual Japanese planter is made of porcelain body with elaborate double wall construction with the outer wall being a reticulated openwork decoration with hexagon design. The rest of the planter is decorated with simple blue and white decorations. We do not know the maker but stylistically it could be by the maker Hirado or from the Arita kilns and dates from the first half of the 20th century.

Condition: Some chips new and old on the rim of the planter.
