Fabulous, One of a Kind, Hand Wrought, 20" Post Modern Memphis Design Candle Holders by Artist Rick Martin.

Martin produced amazing Memphis Design Sculptures, Clocks, Candle Holders and Wall Sculptures.

This set is wrought iron with a satin-painted finish.

The composition is a festival of whimsical three-dimensional elements, spirals, geometric forms, flat and 3D, painted and enameled. Extremely tall in stature, and different in design.

Yet when coupled, the composition becomes very balanced work, fun yet elegant.
They really need to remain as a set to appreciate his extraordinary mastery of complicated simplicity.

He boldly signs and dates both bases. (1996)

With 12" tapers, they are almost 3 feet tall, making them a focal and extraordinary PostModern work of art.

Beautiful functional abstract art candlesticks. These are just really fun, with metal spirals, geometric shapes and heavy bases. Would fit in with Memphis style, 80s, 90s Modern or MCM decor. Both pieces are signed Rick Martin '96 on the bottom of bases.

Overall excellent condition with some surface wear and wax residue, pictured. See photos for details.
