Thomas Roy Markusen is an American postwar and contemporary artist who was born in 1940.
He is known for his handwrought metal ware. During the past three decades, he has established himself using copper, brass, bronze and silver in a variety of forms and concepts.
He created these candle holders with seamless copper tubing. The finish on this set is a Pewter oxide and has a iridescent blue, gold and silver appearance.
These candle holders are in three different sizes, 13 inch, 16 inch and 19 inch. They would have come with a pear shaped candle that sat on the dish on top.
Each candle holder has a makers mark on the bottom and the item number, M421 D, and are marked copper (see photos).
