This Tiffany & Co 7" sterling silver saucer / plate has intricate engravings with 2 pairs of griffins or dragons opposite of each other on the outer rim. These are slightly different mythical creatures than a 'normal' griffin as they have lion heads, a dragon-like body & front claws, and beautiful bird-like wings (has some features like an English coat of arms lion). Very unique and intricate engraving all along the outer rim. There is a monogram but I can't quite make out the lettering. It has a slight bowl-like curve to the outer rim area and the center circular area is flat and sits in further. This design is what made me think of a demitasse saucer. I have not been able to find another one like it anywhere.

It's engraved in cursive on the back with the inscription:
" From Grandmother Lord " " Feb 9th 1863 "
