Original Ashanti wood fertility doll from Ghana. Traditionally carried by women on their backs and believed it to bring pregnancy and a healthy childbirth. The Ashanti women would dress up the embryo appearing figure with clothes and adorn with jewelry as role teaching. Great collector's piece with deep symbolism. Deep Blue beaded earrings and necklace.
