A ca. 1915 Handel table lamp, Meriden, Connecticut. The conical shade is reverse painted with red and orange blossoms and green foliage against a pale ground, with the textured chipped ice exterior surface for which the firm is known. Raised on a patinated bronze base with a baluster standard over a stepped square platform foot. The shade fitter ring impressed HANDEL Lamps Pat’d No. 979664, the base signed Handel. 22.5”H, the shade 18” diameter.
