Bela Kadar (Hungarian, 1877-1956). Charcoal drawing on paper titled "Between Two Windows," 1928. Depicting a monochromatic, expressionist urban street scene. Featuring a narrow alleyway enclosed tightly between two building facades creating a fractured, dramatic perspective. Signed along the lower right. Pencil titled, dated, and numbered "17" along the lower center.

Condition
The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears. Minute pinholes along the upper right and left corners. The sheet is unevenly toned. There appears to be an area of skimming resulting in small losses to the pigment along the lower right corner. Scattered areas of light soiling. Light wear along the extreme edges. Floated in frame atop a textured mat. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
