Georges Braque (French, 1882-1963). Lithograph print on paper titled "Les Martinets" (Common Swifts), circa 1955. Depicting two stylized black birds set against muted, triangular shapes and a cloudy blue sky. Pencil signed along the lower right; numbered "123/275" along the lower left. Published by Maeght Editeur, Paris, with their blindstamp along the lower left corner. Pencil numbered "27899" along the verso.

Condition
The colors are bold and bright. The sheet is toned, particularly along the extreme edges. There are two minute tears along the upper edge; the larger of the two extends downward approximately 1/4 inch. Connecting the two tears is a horizontal crease. A few light creases. Small frits along the extreme edges. Scattered areas of light foxing, particularly along the upper edge. Light graphite accretions scattered throughout the work. Light wear along the extreme edges. The work is not matted or framed.
