Kenneth H. Dahlberg (1917-2011) was a decorated World War II Marine Corps fighter pilot who flew the F4U Corsair in the Pacific Theater and was credited as a flying ace with 14 aerial victories. Following the war, he became a successful businessman and later entered the national spotlight through his connection to the Watergate scandal when a $25,000 campaign contribution he made to President Richard Nixon's reelection committee was traced to the Watergate burglars. The discovery of Dahlberg's check became one of the earliest key financial links in the investigation that ultimately unraveled the Watergate scandal and led to Nixon's resignation.
