Whittaker beneath his printed biography. All the other signatures on the page are printed facsimile. JSA authentication sticker is affixed to the verso.

Charles Evans Whittaker (1901-1973) was an American lawyer and Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Appointed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957, Whittaker served on the Court until 1962. Although his tenure was relatively brief, he participated in several important constitutional and civil rights cases during a transformative period in Supreme Court history. Citing the pressures of the position and declining health, Whittaker retired from the Court after five years of service.
