Persia, 20th century. Wool on wool, 211 cm x 151 cm. The ivory-colored central field is dominated by a large, multi-lobed central medallion in warm brown and ocher tones, interwoven with rich tendrils, palmettes, and delicate floral motifs. The harmoniously coordinated border in muted blue with floral ornaments effectively frames the field and gives the rug an elegant sense of depth. The condition is good, with slight soiling in the pile in places. The fringes are in very good condition.
