Signed and dated lower left: Max Kaus 1919. Inscribed lower right: 10. Handdruck (hand print). Fully visible framed under glass. Minimally browned. Slightly brown-stained on the lower right edge. Max Kaus attended the School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1908. Stimulated and inspired as a student of Heckel, he created lithographs and woodcuts. 1928 Günther-Wagner-Preis Hannover. Since 1949, he has held a full professorship.
