Antique cut crystal from American Brilliant period Comport or Tazza with Bubble in Cut Leaf Stem

9.5 high x 6 wide bowl x 2" deep

American Brilliant Period ranged approximately from 1876 to WW1. Hand blown into iron molds 'a blank' and then hand cut by artisans over numerous labor intensive hours.

This period of glass cutting is known as the finest in the world. This piece is from later in the Period known as the Flower period when tastes started to change toward nature and organic design.

Heavy clear bank. Quality crystal cutwork with floral design and leaves. Exquisite cut leaves in stem with bubble.

Perfect to serve a variety of jam for high tea, relishes, mints, nuts. Great for bridal and baby showers, wedding, anniversary, daily evening table.
