Sir David Young Cameron - He was born in Glasgow and studied at the Glasgow School of Art soon becoming a highly regarded etcher. His subjects were primarily architectural studies and landscapes. He served as an associate if the Royal Society of Painter-etchers, was a member of the anti-Royal Academy society, the International Society if Sculptors, Painters, and Gravers, the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours, helped form the Society of Twelve and was a Trustee of the Tate Gallery and the Scottish National Gallery. He was knighted in 1924.
