Born in April 1925, Rose Marie Daniels was born in Windsor, Canada and studied art in Ontario before moving to the USA where she lived for many years in Denver with her husband and children. During this time she was a professional commercial artist, working as a fashion artist for May D & F Company and as an illustrator for the Denver Post. She was also an active potter and portrait artist working mainly with oil and watercolor. She is known to have traveled to the West Coast where she painted this scene.
