Beautiful Louis XIV-style picture frame with a warm, aged patina.

Partial label on back of frame indicates this frame came from Galerie Durand-Ruel at 37, Avenue de Friedland, Paris. Durand-Ruel was founded by Jean-Marie-Fortune Durand and his wife Marie-Ferdinande Ruel in 1830. Passed down to subsequent generations, it was a family run business until it closed in 1974.

The sight size is 23 5/6" h x 19 1/2" w.

The opening on the back is roughly 24 1/3" h x 20" w x 1/4" d.
