Summary:
Chinese Ming Period bronze censer or planter with dragon-form handles. The antique bronze vessel is designed in the manner of a traditional ritual incense burner, with a rectangular flared rim above a rounded body decorated with raised mask-like motifs. Flanked by scrolling dragon-form lug handles and raised on four animal-form legs above a rectangular base. The bronze displays an aged green and brown patina with surface variation consistent with age.
