Summary:
Papier-mâché lacquered folding cases Collection of five 19th century probably for cigarettes or eyeglasses. Each decorated with hand-painted colored figural paintings. Subjects include a family group in a landscape, figures gathered outdoors, a man holding a hen beside a woman with dogs, a seated female bather, and an artist with model in an interior studio scene. Not certain who made them.

Overall good. Condition varies and is consistent with age and use, including surface wear, craquelure, rubbing and losses to lacquer and gilt, edge wear, scattered chips, and some lifting/separation to the papier-mâché layers.
