Outstanding Provincial hand decorated drop front secretary desk, early 19th century, with wonderfully painted with floral and faux-inlaid designs throughout. The upper cabinet opens to a fitted interior with multiple shaped cubby compartments and open shelves. The slant-front writing surface drops down to reveal additional interior compartments and a writing area with decorative border trim and metal hinge hardware. The lower section opens to a shelved cabinet interior. Exterior decorated with molded panel doors, floral and foliate painted ornament, contrasting faux wood grain, and geometric border decoration, raised on bun feet.
