Beers Maps 19th century extensive assembled group of 19th-century printed atlas maps relating primarily to towns, villages and rural districts throughout New York State’s Hudson Valley and surrounding counties. The collection includes hand-colored township and village plans, property maps identifying individual landowners, roads, waterways, rail lines, schools, churches, cemeteries, businesses and other local landmarks.

Locations represented include Ellenville, Rochester, Poestenkill, Berlin, Stephentown, Hoosick, Schodack, Castleton, Petersburg, Fishkill on the Hudson, Greenbush, Napanock and numerous additional communities in Ulster, Rensselaer, Dutchess and neighboring counties. Several sheets incorporate inset village plans, commercial directories, agricultural statistics and period advertisements.
