French Napoleon III period Egyptian Revival desk clock, finely executed in gilt and chiseled bronze. The clock features a sculptural sphinx supporting a lyre-form case surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings. The circular white enamel dial is set with Roman numeral hour markers. Raised on a rectangular veined green marble base.
