Summary:
Alfons Walde, oil on board painting based on the Austrian artist’s Tyrolean figural compositions commonly titled Kirchgang, or The Way to Church. The scene depicts a group of churchgoers viewed from above, including women in brightly colored traditional skirts and men dressed in dark clothing and broad-brimmed hats. Rendered with heavily applied, textured paint in a palette of black, white, pale blue, green, yellow, and red. Unsigned and presented in a black frame.

Walde produced several compositions titled "Kirchgang", including ones documented to datings between 1914 and 1935, generally executed on cardboard. This painting seems to fit within that group. Looks good, but unsigned and therefore attributed.
