Mystery Old Master Artwork, Raphael Santi (Circle of), 17th century or earlier oil on canvas after the celebrated ‘Madonna della Seggiola,’ also known as the ‘Madonna della Sedia’ or ‘Madonna of the Chair.’ The composition depicts the Virgin Mary tenderly embracing the Christ Child, accompanied by the young Saint John the Baptist.

Oil on canvas. Areas of age-related wear and surface grime; old varnish with yellowing. The reverse shows small areas of reinforcement.
