Vintage signed and inscribed 4 x 5 paperstock image of Schweitzer in a half-length profile pose wearing his white pith sun helmet whilst seated in a traditional wooden pirogue canoe and accompanied by a local African man who stands further up in the canoe, handling a long wooden oar. Signed and inscribed by Schweitzer in French in blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border and dated 2nd January 1955 in his hand. VG
