A Pre-Columbian Chimu vegetal dyed hand-woven textile fragment from 940 AD to 1470 AD. An avian bird motif with a geometric design. Mounted on linen backing and housed under a gilt frame. The bird motif was one of the most popular symbols found in textiles during the Pre-Columbian period.
