These are plaster medallion plaque replicas of bronze originals General Bonaparte by Boizot and Josephine Bonaparte by Pierre-Jean David d'Angers (1788-1856). An extremely rare pair. These replicas are an official Musee de Louvre reproduction interdite ateliers de moulage (see the back metal stamp inset into the plaster).

They are in good vintage condition, with aging to the plaster so it has a soft ivory color with variations in the tone from age, normal discolorations and wear. There are tiny chips along the rim that aren't particularly noticeable and don't take away from the look of the pieces at all.
They have silver rings on the back and are ready to hang.

Napoleon measures 9 1/8" in diameter and 1 1/2" deep
Josephine measures 7 1/4" in diameter and 3/4" deep
